Benvenuti a la mia casa

Everyone in Florence through Kent State’s program is housed by Florence and Abroad real estate agency, but we all live in very different apartments throughout the city. Mine is one of the smaller apartments, but it has a great location and cozy feel.

View of our living room from the front door

Our couch is a bit more oriental than Italian. That’s Kate hiding under the blanket.

View of Santa Croce from our living room window. The Basilica of Santa Croce is the principal Franciscan church in Florence, and a minor basilica of the Roman Catholic Church. Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Rossini are buried there.

Our kitchen/ laundry corner. We can’t shower or use any other appliances while the washer is running, and one load takes three hours! We hang our clothes around the apartment to dry.

We have a loo!

Lydia and Caitlin’s room (they snatched the bigger one with the dresser)
